Een kaartje
Kleine moeite, groot plezier!
This message is send to you by Ian and Gera. Here is a story about a 12 year old girl named Haley. Haley is a friend and has been a classmate of Ian since they first started school 7 years ago. About two years ago Haley was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of cancer, a tumour was removed from her brainstem and she then faced about 60 weeks of chemo and radiation. We were all so happy to celebrate the end of her treatments this spring and after they did an MRI everything looked clear. She had a great summer and things were looking up, then in August just before school started another MRI was done and to everyone's disbelieve the cancer had returned. This time an operation is out of the question and Haley is facing another round of chemo and radiation. This time they are using more and stronger chemo which is going to be a lot harder on her body. She has already spend a great deal of time in the hospital and will be there a lot longer yet. She is missing out on a lot of school because her immune system has been weak. What Ian and myself would like to ask of all of you is that you forward this message to everyone you know and ask your friends to keep forwarding this message. I have included Haleys address in this e-mail and we are asking all of you to send her a card from where ever you live with just a little greeting on it in english as that is the only language she knows, she is really into learning and knowing about how other people live in different countries and so a card from something that is related to your area or culture would be great or otherwise just a card to cheer her up will be fine. Can you imagen her face when she gets all these cards from all over the world and how it will brighten her day in the hospital(we all know how boring a hospital can get) or at home just knowing that people are thinking about her. Haley is a bright young girl who is facing a battle for her life in the next couple of months. We would like to thank you in advance and we will keep you updated on how she is doing, the doctors are doing their part but we strongly believe that a positive spirit helps as well and that is were all of us can help. Her address; Haley Haupt RR # 3 Eckville, Alberta T0M0X0 Canada Thank you thank you thank you from Ian and Gera.
